Nice bike but an insane bike...I'd be almost afraid to ride the thing...

It's a Pedal Force!!!!!!

(not really, but someone had to say it)

A rebadged Motobecane, no doubt.

71 degree head tube angle? Thats going to handle like my Dunelt 3 spd.

mister 08-15-06 03:43 PM

My rule of thumb: If it's not a car and is branded with a car label, it's probably crap.

stunning unit, purely for showing off lest the cranks be dinged. What's up with that rear brake cable, not internal? No stops?
my moto is nearly ferrari red, I pulled the stickers and i'm sticking on a yellow SF badge as soon as i can find or make one. mostly for conversation and humor. Might even stick "Marlboro" on the top tube. heh. ;P

I want Mclaren to make a bike. They could actually build the thing themselves, having their own carbon composite facility.
Namedropping 'Shuey' in the advert for this bike is kind of ironic. He would be fast in any capable vehicle, but he happens to drive the Ferrari branded Fiat. He wins because he is skilled and terribly fit. Back to "it's not the bike".

I think you mean "Schumi" which is Schumachers nickname auf Deutsch.

Like most Colnagos, that bike is terribly gaudy. I'd be embarrassed to ride it.

Except they have zero experience building bicycle frames...?

I'd be embarrassed to ride it.
I can just imagine it now:
What you can't afford a real ferrari? Buy the bicycle! <- laughter follows

i'm not sure that would matter; they would just hire away some top engineers from other companies, in usual Formula One style, and end up making what would be damn near on of the sweetest bikes ever...for a paltry US$25 000.

EdZ 08-16-06 01:55 PM

Lol. This guy actually rode it, probably in his full Disco kit and TT helmet.

FCDrifter 08-16-06 06:40 PM

ill pass on the bike and take the aston martin in the back ground

It's Shuey, SchuMi, Shoemaker, Scummacher, Scummy and a ton more I can't think of.

As for the bike, I third the motion to get the DB9 in the background.

Hmmm, now I've gotta get me some Chevette, or even better, Pontiac Acadian stickers made up!

It sold for $4550!!! Insane!! I would never! Rathar use the money to fly to Italy and have Pinarello make me one custom built...

velocipedio 08-21-06 05:39 AM

FWIW, it's authentic. The CFs were a limited edition run of bikes made for Colnago at the Ferrari factory. It was not, as the listing said, made on behalf of Ferrari by Colnago, but made for Colnago by Ferrari. The marketing bumf said something about celebrating Colnago's long relationship with Ferrari.
