I really like the ISO-Speed Decoupler Systems. My first choice when I looked at the Treks was the Emonda but after riding with a couple of guys who have the Domane
I have to think I would like what the Domane offers more than the Emonda's lighter weight and more aggressive position.

I had the opportunity for an extended test ride on a Domane SLR with Ultegra, 30mm tires and disc brakes. Both my son and I was able to take them on a 15 mile run which included riding up on the soft shoulder, across some grass fields and paved roads. I really liked the way it road, but it felt rather "dead" to me. There was little feedback from the bike and i found it "sluggish". I did like the way the wide tires soaked up the bumps and the ability to go "offroad" was nice.
Since the Domane SLR was too much of a road bike and way more than i would spend, I purchased a Cannondale SuperX CX bike. It allows me to ride in less than optimal conditions and since it has Rival 1, replacing the drivetrain is much cheaper. The 32mm tires really soak up the bumps and I can take it on single track trails. The hydro disc are great in the rain so it's the perfect "foul weather" bike for me.
And being a cyclocross frameset, the geometry is more relaxed.
Nothing wrong with the Domane, it just wasn't what i needed.

I feel like Trek is just making up words now. Kind of like how Acura used to, before the went all alpha - numeric copying BMW. Emonda? Domane?
I understood Madone.

Hey look, I know what Trek's future models are gonna be:
2017: Nomade
2018: Anodem
2019: O'Damen
This could be a drinking game...

I might very well have the same opinion if I rode both the bikes, which I haven't. In my mind I like the thought of the comfort that I believe the ISO Decoupler would offer but after riding my current bike I know I like the quick handling and responsiveness it offered.

Yes, they decided to be super-clever by mixing up the letters in "Madone". Probably some hipster marketing dude with a handlebar mustache and a faux-hawk.

Woman make me faster
Three minutes is all it took from my post to yours.
don't judge to harsh I was only playing.
Obviously the only answer here is said bike with electronic or mechanical Super Record. I will take electric with mine.
I do like both brands but Shimano plays nicer with my wallet.

With my arm in a sling these days, I'm not picky - I'd be happy if I could ride any bike.
However, it would be cool to have something like a hand-me-down from a champion. Not something bought at auction and kept on display, but a bike with a story that I could keep going with. Or a bike won as a prize.

I just can't believe the diversity of answers here. I think that is what makes cycling so interesting. Everyone wants something different.

Pinarello Dogma K8-S Disk, Campy Super Record EPS, Campy Bora Ultra Wheels, Or Enve 4.5s laced to Chris King hubs. Black and White or Black and Red.
OR
Bianchi Specialissma, full Campy Super Record(lets go mech on this one, why not), Campy Bora Wheels. Celeste ONLY.
OR
Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 9.0(version..idk.. Aero, Team..), Campy Super Record EPS, ZIPP Firecrest 808 wheels. Probably in Blue.
Any of these would then be equipped with the Power2Max power meter for Campy cranks, like what Movistar is currently riding(I think it looks great), and the head unit would be a Garmin edge 1000.
I quite like the carbon synapse Im currently riding, I do wanna get some nice wheels on there, but, otherwise(and even currently), Im very happy. But, for a more realistic upgrade, as those three above are dream status.. If I had to upgrade right now, Id either get a Specialized Venge(not a ViaS) or a Cannondale SuperSix Evo, put Super Record on it, and spend like, $1200 on wheels, Maybe something from Campy, maybe from Mavic. Power2Max power meter.
The trend is Campy Super Record. I should just put that on my Synapse along with some Bora ultra wheels and call it a day lol

Ah. Just realized the OP (ten years ago) asked about STOCK bikes.
So, how about this Ridley Helium SL:

Maybe a shop or two has some NOS from last year hanging around.
With their striking blend of classic and modern design, these really caught my eye at the Giro last year. I briefly considered getting one, but to get it right would have cost too much. The Giant I got instead is cooler, I think, but isn't quite as glamorous.
