Assos Jersey Sizing?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Assos Jersey Sizing?

Hi all. Nowhere around here that carries them, so can't try one on. Yeah, I have looked at online size charts, and they say L=40" chest, XL=43" chest. I have a 41" chest and like my jerseys snug but not cutting off circulation. I wear an L in Pearl Izumi, but an XL in DeMarchi (Euro stuff runs snugger).

So how do Assos jerseys (the Uni, in particular) run, size-wise? Any advice?

i prefer to keep my jersey snug, as they're intended to be. i wear Assos mediums, and PI S. i am not petite.

FWIW I've noticed that Assos changed the cut this year. Their medium jerseys aren't as snug as they used to be. Not a great move IMO.

Go with an XL. Assos runs pretty close to the rest of the Euro stuff in my experience. I have a 39" chest and an Assos large is about perfect for me.

Assos jerseys run small. They're even smaller than they say. If you wear a 41/42 sports coat, go with the XL.

you're statement is flawed.

I think Assos is a little smaller than Italian brands like Nalini or DeMarchi, but Assos is more contoured and designed to fit more closely. I have a 38 inch chest and wear a size medium in all these brands.

Assos jerseys only come in one size: exspensive.
But totally worth it,
I love my Swiss made bibs and skinsuit- really amazing. I even have an old pair which has lasted for impossible --years! They just wont die!
I think the only complaint I have is with the mille shorts-- they don't even cover to the mid-thigh
hence the name: Mille, get it? It's annoying, but an otherwise great product, I suggest you meet them in person before inviting them over...

I'm 5'10 145 pounds, and also around a 38 inch chest and wear medium in Santini, Demarchi, and Assos.... but be careful with Giordanna.... I got a jersey and didn't see that it was a "medium-large".... way too big... the same with Descente. I bought a medium and that is too big as well.

My favorite jersey right now is DeMarchi Contour Plus... got it on sale for 59.99.

op, if you are wearing a xl in DeMarchi, then you may want to go xl in Assos... my Assos jersey and DeMarchi are pretty identical in cut.

Nikce stuff, the Assos. The shop I work at is an Assos dealer, so I can get the stuff at close to cost. Even then, it's not worth the price.

I have the 2005 team CSC jersey made by Assos, and only paid 49.99 for it.

I kind of doubt it, considering that Girodana sponsored CSC in 2005, and if IIRC in 2003 and 2004. Castelli was in 2002, so maybe you have a 2001/2002 CSC jersey?

i'm sure you can buy an Assos CSC jeresy, just not a 2005 CSC jersey. Take a look at the top left corner of the jersey. Notice the LOOK logo? LOOK hasn't sponsored CSC since 2002, IIRC.

I believe that you have a 2001 jeresy. Reparto mislabled your shirt.

This is what the 2005 CSC kit looked like:

Thank you for the information, but I still love my jersey, and it matches my bike.
