Ergonomic flat bar grips

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ergonomic flat bar grips

I didn't know whether to post this in the road or tandem section. My wife and I ride a flat bar tandem road bike and both have some trouble with numbness and pain in hands/wrists. I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with some of the ergonomic grips. I can get the Serfas RX grips and the Specialized BG grips at my LBS, but no one there seems to have used them. If you've used any of these grips, I'd also like to know if you use gloves with them or not. I've done searched the forums and come up empty, so I apologize if this has been discussed already.

Thanks!

Ergons are supposed to be pretty good. Does search work again? If it does there's a thread or two on them around. I can't say that I've used them but hey, it's one more option for you.

I love my Ergons. They have made a huge difference on my Sirrus, which I bought hastily and which is a size too big. I had a permanently numb right ring finger that they sorted out, and I get far less numbness in both hands now thanks to them. The little stubby bar ends on mine are nice too.

I have these:
