Opinions and ideas for my first build.

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Opinions and ideas for my first build.

Ok, I curently ride a K2 Mach2 it has Tiagra/105 componets. I ride about 100 miles a week. I have no problems with the bike, I like it, but I'm a contractor and I just like to build stuff, so why not spend the fall building a bike. Next year I'm looking to do more organized rides, maybe join a bike club, still planing on 100 to 120 miles a week, maybe even try racing, but that's a big maybe. I'm also not looking to break the bank.
So this is what I'm planing on for the build and I'm looking for coments.
Frame- Scattante XRL $179 at Performance
Campy Centuar group set $600 new on EBay (seems like a good price, yes, no, ?)
Wheels ??? $200 - $300 sugestions welcome (190lb rider)
Thinking about Richey stem and handlebars?
Other than Performance and Nashbar where are some good places to look?
