Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I am curious how you got to do this...it looks like you were +20,000 feet up...did you or someone fly you by there on purpose?

Great shot.

hi roadwarrior,I was on the way back from Nice at approx 28000ft.I took it from cockpit window which is much clearer than the cabin windows although it still needed a little photoshop adjustment.I used a Nikon D70 camera, and the print looks really nice.

Stacey,
sorry if my post broke your rules,no offence was intended but i have been asked where people could get a copy and found doing it like that the easiest way.The reason i took it in the first instance was that i had looked for a picture that conveyed how big a climb this is and couldn't find one.
Anyway i hope people enjoy looking at it,
kind regards john

Been there.
Done that.
Still hurts.

Great shot. Shows the reservoir, route D211, and everything.

Can't wait to go back.
