Upgrade TIME! [pics]

I've been really spoiled having the oppurtunity to ride on a Time - it's a great frame, I get home in anticipation to bust out on a ride regardless of the weather.

I really wanted to get some "dancing shoes" [LowCel - it's your fault :p] because I've really loved the look of deep dish carbons on any race bike - it just fits... I really wanted Carbones but the price was still too steep, so one day I was just browsing the used section in CanadianCyclist to find someone selling Bonty X Lite Carbons for a really great deal. 850 CAD later - I've got these with Conti Competitions, an Ultegra cassette and yellow Swisstop brakes. Amazing deal.

These are my first set of tubular wheels - I do notice a difference in high speed cornering and just raw weight - I think my bike dropped ~ 1lb. Lighter wheels really are easier to spin up. Other than that - it's an upgrade for sure from my WH550's. I'm a happy camper... so far, 200 miles in - they've been bulletproof over bumps and holes...
Only caveat is that the front Conti has tan sidewall  OCP penalty right there - I know, Patriot... I know.. sorry ;)

I'll be using these as everyday training wheels - and for next season if they're still true and solid - I'll just slap on some new tubulars and re-grease the hubs for some racin' :D

I think the Bonty color scheme matches the Time...

Nice wheels. I saw a set at my LBS and picked up the front wheel....very light.

But, I'm not quite sure why one would use those types of wheels as their "everyday" training wheel. You sure are gonna be pissed when you crack one of the rims....

I'd use the WH550's as a training wheel any day of the week over the Bonty's. I'd just use the Bonty's for racing/events....but, that's me.

Thanks for all the nice comments. At this point - I'm just going to save up for some other bits that ultimately can/will be transplanted elsewhere.

Zero-G Brakes/Crank
Boras & Hyperons [from what I've heard - they are invincible..]
^ - all that junk is going to cost roughly the bike - hahahaha - sigh... I'm sick.

Thanks. Well I figured - why buy something expensive and use it seldomly. I'd hope that these are durable as SSC SL's or Open Pro's - I mean, then I should've just gotten those. I will be annoyed if these break soon - but at least I would've squeezed every mile out of them. I'm decently light [160] and I live in a pretty clean area of the city - so debris isn't really a concern. As long as I avoid potholes when I can - I think I'll be okay for a couple months [my expectations for these babies] :p
