Opinions on bar wrapping needed!

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Opinions on bar wrapping needed!

I picked up these bars (IDG Blackbird) as a decent entry level experiment into flat top bars. Question is, since they are not pretty carbon fiber, should I wrap them all the way to the top or stop at the curve? Actually if I use all the tape it will still not cover all the lettering.

Will it feel odd to be grabbing hard aluminum rather than cushy tape? I used the profile cork tape w/gel. It even has gold flecks in it to match the gold finish on the Bianchi.

Thoughts please.

I have K-wing bars and wrap to the top of the ramps. I really don't notice not having the tape on the tops. I ride the hoods most of the time and when climbing on the tops I am not holding the bar that tight. I do not know how aluminum would feel without tape. Try it to the top of the ramps, it will be a $15 experiment....

Wrap them all the way up. If you don't like it, then trim it down to your tastes.
