Sacroiliac and leg pain
Has anyone experienced sacroiliac pain that shoots down the leg and into the foot? If so, what kind of treatment have you gone through? Every time I ride as of late, this pain really bothers me.

I would have a similar pain AFTER rides (down my left side). It actually felt like it was running through "the boys" to the point that I went to see the doc. I found anti-inflammatories (sp?) useful. Ultimately it went away with a lot of miles and some adjustments to seat high and level.

I have ridden a lot of miles. I will try some anti-inflammatories. I have been trying different back exercises but I am not sure how much that is helping. I can feel the pain while riding. I was going to Dover, DE this weekend for a metric century but decided against it.

That ain't sacroiliac pain. You probably just had someone tell you that who doesn't know an SI joint from a dorsal root ganglion. It is probably radicular pain (sciatica). Sacroiliac pain is mainly in the buttock, and doesn't shoot all the way down to the foot and toe. You probably have a herniated disk or other source of nerve compression.

I have this (sciatica with pain shooting into the calf and foot) and this summer it has really limited my riding. I haven't found anything that helps yet except to give the nerve enough time to stop swelling and heal. In the past I've found that chiropractic adjustments help, but not this summer.
