Actually, I planned on leaving them blank, but the thought did cross my mind. However, I'm not sure if want to put anything insdie them, because it may make the hearts look cluttered. I want to minimize all the junk/decals on the frame, and leave it more of an open expression. It will have graphics, probably some very small lettering in gray located in the white areas, but nothing too "in your face".

If you're really good at detailing, put in the OCP badge....that would be awesome.

"Verus Amor" or your wife's name might look nice inside the rear one.
Or "Verus Amor" inside the front one - like a headbadge - and her name in the rear.
Or an inspirational phrase...
Just some thoughts - I personally don't think it would look too cluttered if it's nicely scripted....

Fantastic work! I love the design and the execution just couldn't get any better. I'll agree that the fork could certainly use a bit more pink to tie it all together. Anything in the hearts should remain on the small and uncluttered.

Taped up the forks and shot them this aftfernoon. I'm just waiting for the paint to cure up a little so I can pull the tape.

Can't tell too well, but looks like the pink on the front side with a curved line edge with bare carbon on the back? Any other details I'm not seeing. In any case, looks great!

Why yes, you are correct. I got the tape removed, so here they are.

And now, for a serious mouth watering event.

I have decided to wait on clear coating.
Oh, and stay tuned for the next episode, featuring custom painted integrated carbon bars to match.
I'll bet, with exception to Trinity, few of you have ever seen a Pedal Force carbon frame look so good. I know I haven't.

I say keep it that flat finish...If you can
The shinyness I think takes away from this frame. I like the flatness of the colors.

^^^ It must be clear coated, the paint requires it. And believe it or not, the pearl/iridescent colors don't really explode unless they have a gloss clear coat integrated with it, so the it actually looks very dull, even though the flash on the camera makes it look brilliant.

You're obsessed you know, don't you.
Nonetheless, can't wait to see it finished.

beautiful, i acquired a 3$ junk bike from a yard sale a few weeks back that i plan to turn to a singlespeed and give it my own touch of color, moreso for practice and my girlfriend to ride around with me on. sadly, it will be far from the quality of yours, but practice makes perfect. good work!

nick, if you do the prep work right and take your time, you can make a yard sale junker into a great looking frame. Especially when working with previously painted frames, prep is #1 importance! Check out the paint I did on my Barracuda Mk.I (see link in sig). I did at least two coats of primer with wet sanding between coats. After setting down that base, paint went on quite nicely.

You should really create a how to post to show us the process of painting such a gorgeous bike. I'd like to know how you go about masking it so well; getting things symetric...creating the curves...etc. And then tips on painting would be cool too. I'm in the middle of a junker to looker build with a simple spray can paint job but would like to learn to do some complicated work like this and some of your other bikes.

When I get in my [Student Discounted] Sata sprayguns, I'll be able to do some NICE paint work. I've already got an Iwata airbrush, but I opted not to get the $400 custom one. What brand paint did you use, and was it custom mixed? Do you have to get any special types of paint so that it sticks to the carbon?
