Cervelo... To Set The Record Straight. w/pic
My comments and opinions about the Cervelo Soloist have been less than stellar here, but I ran across this pic of the 07 P2C. Now there's a Cervelo I could make sweet sweet love to.

I saw a bike just like that the other day. I was riding, and saw some dude with just bike shorts and an HRM on fly past on a Cervelo with TT bars, I figured that he was a triathlete.

That doesn't look like aluminum in the background pic.

Weren't the early Carbon soloist's black, and isn't cervelo coming out with a black carbon soloist paint scheme? Even if i'm wrong, what's wrong with Cervelo using their tired and true stead they made for several years as their top end bike as a poster bike? I think it represents consistency, strong bikes and design, and cervelo's roots in aero bike design.

And, yes, I agree with the tried/true statements about the Soloist Team. Just thought it was funny to see it as the backing shot for the P2C....

Not with those obnoxious words on the wheels and components.

I stand corrected I thought the OP was saying that the pic was of an 07 soloist. Goldfish, can the soloist be dual use? tt/rod with a switch of bars & seat position? or not so much?

yeah, just a switch of the seatpost gives you a steeper seattube angle, which gives you pretty much the same geometry as a TT bike. Add a nice set of clip-on aero bars and you've got yourself a TT bike(and nicely aerodynamic one at that).
I have tried it with the TT position for a bit, and it seems to work. will try it in competition next season.
