Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I am using it. I have around 800 miles on one as we speak. It is a great saddle. Took me a little while to get used to the look of it but I appreciated the "relief" it gave me from ride one. I will send pics later on as I am getting ready to go ride on it as we speak.

I use a related model, the Selle Strike SMP TRK. It's the best saddle I've ever tried. And it's a good bit cheaper than the Evolution.

I use the plus version....looks weird but ultra comfortable. But the evolution is like the average sized model. I would go for it. Your private parts will thank you.
Also, there are 4 other sizes besides the evolution. Just find the one that fits you.

A few guys have reviewed these saddles in weightweenies, they are no more comfortable than any other saddle.

They are ridiculously priced, for that price, they should have a full satisfaction guarantee.

I'm tempted to try the Plus model myself but it's really tough to justify spending that kind of money for something that might not be any better than, say, my $40 Serfas RX (which is back on my bike after finally giving up on my Brooks B17 after 4000mi of trying). Performance Bike has a liberal return policy and they do carry some of the Strike line, but not the Plus unfortunately. I guess I could try the Pro but it's 11mm narrower than the Plus which I feel has lower odds of working for me.

BTW, how water-resistant is the leather covering on these saddles? Is it real leather? I'd rather not have a $200+ investment ruined by one good soaking.

EDIT: I just noticed Angus' post about the TRK saddle. This looks to be about the same size as the Plus (at bit bigger actually), but heavier and with some kind of synthetic cover instead of leather at nearly 1/3 the price. Looks like an ideal way to try out this saddle design.

I got the Evolution because it was the closest to the to the Pro Link Lite witch I thought I liked untill I used this. I think Performance has the Eveloution for 2-230 so you can try it and if you dont like it return it!
