Question regarding a spare tubes for my bike.
Today, I bought a spare tube for my road bike but the owner seemed to be very ignorant.
I asked him for a pair of Road bike tubes for 700x25 and he gives me the tube for 700x18,20,23... so I go back and asked him for an exchange and he says its fine.. should I believe him for should I get a refund and buy from somewhere else?
Also, does the brand name matter? the tube that I bought is not even a known brand and it was $10 for 2.
Should I consider buying more known brand?? Did I even get a good deal on that? whats your opinion?

What exactly did it say on the box? Tubes are made to work with a variety of tires. so if you went from 25 to 23 you wouldn't have to buy new tubes.

You should buy tubes one size smaller then your tire.

You're fine with what you got based on the information you gave... but you have made sure the valve length is good for the wheels you run?

The tube you bought should be OK. Have look at a ruler and see how small 2mm is; the tube is made of rubber and will stretch. If you were to compare various 23 mm and 25 mm width tires, you would find that there is some variation in the actual width - some run narrower and some run wider by a few mm.
There are literally dozens of 'brands' of tubes on the market, many of them probably made in the same factories in Taiwan (e.g. Kenda). Unless you are paying extra to get a particular brand (e.g. Michelin or Continental) the generic tubes are usually fine.
