Reynolds Alta Race or Campy Vento?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Reynolds Alta Race or Campy Vento?

I am looking at both of these fairly inexpensive wheelsets-I am going to have Nashbar pricematch pricepoint on the Alta Races, but I thought I'd ask about the Ventos. I'm not sure I like the looks of them at all, but I guess it could grow on me.
Any input?
The reason I ask is the Alta Races have some bad reviews on roadbikereview.

thanks guys

I have to say the Ventos, simply because I love the look of Campagnolo wheelsets.

i'd say campy for sure, but check out what deals you can get on zonda's. no that there's anything wrong with ventos but you get some aero spokes and i think nicer hubs with the zondas for not much more in some cases.

Go with the Reynolds... there have been quite a few threads of late talking all about.

Some facts: Reynolds have redesigned the Alta... it now has DT spokes and a beefer hub. This added the weight by 20 grams (not a huge diff. but makes the wheel stronger).

I wouldn defintely not get the Ventos (better off getting Xero Xr-1 wheels) But the zondas are very nice. ... that being said I went withe the Reynolds.

Reparto Corse has the "alta Race" for $300.00 (campy verson). Ignore the description the owner "Ed" was recently informed of the mistake after I recieved my wheels and I contacted Reynolds.

Hope this helps.
