Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pedal Force QS-2S Group buy thread-Now with purchase link!

I thought it was worth starting a new thread for this, as the old one has gotten jumbled and messy.
So, here you go folks! Hours of blood, sweat and tears went into this link (not quite, but you know what I mean) so enjoy!

https://www.pedalforce.com/groupbuy/

Remember, these come with warranty and all that fun Pedal Force stuff!

Hi Benjamin,
My mistake. For frame QS2-S and fork ID14, the price will be $550USD including shipping. And for frame only is $500USD. These prices are for 100 orders.

Regards,
Ming

For reference, here is the old thread- https://bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=233230

But let's try to keep this one the current one, because the old one has a lot of irrelevant stuff in it.

I think you should state that the shipping is only included if it's in the con US (is it?).

tekhna -- I started reading thru the original thread last night -- and didn't make it too far (about 3 pages in). In a brief synopsis, is the $270 or thereabouts price no longer available? This groupby frame is almost double the original $270 price. Just curious. I was definitely interested at the $300 to $350 level. Not so sure about the $550 level. Any info is appreciated.

The group buy moved to Pedal Force because getting 100 frames would entail a load of fees that people speculated would be more of a headache. PF may be more expensive, but they are a dedicated company that offer a warranty. The $270 deal from ADK was for frame only. Add a fork, freight fees, tarrifs, shipping, damaged goods, etc and the costs and headaches add up. Plus one person would pretty much have to be in charge of getting the shipment and packing up all the frames individually to be sent out to each person. With PF, they'll send the frames anywhere in the US for free and you're garanteed to have a solid frame.

The rest of the thread explains it. Read up, only 10 pages to go!

Very impressive effort on whoever put this together. Did we determine if this comes painted or just the carbon weave? The increased price combined with me jumping on that Flyte deal may leave me now. Depending how the orders go I may still participate if need be.

edit - somebody sticky this.

Thanks! Thank the folks at Pedal Force too.
It's just a carbon weave.

Will pedal force allow people to take advantage of their component group pricing with these frames?

Interesting. You cannot view the "Show all records" portion until you register.

Oh well.

We already have nine frames on the list, almost 10% of the total needed in just a few hours.

Brad, I see also that you beat me to registering. Now if we can get Ostuni to order one, maybe we can repeat the UPS race we had earlier this year.

Ostuni, better join in, he hasn't bought a bike is quite some time that slacker! BTW: Some joker is clicking on the withdraw link on the website, a least they did so on mine, but I assume that if we don't reply to the withdraw email sent by PF that our standing remains the same.

Do we have a specific date we are shooting for to have all 100? I am definetly interested, but it is going to take sometime for me to "convince" the wife. . . . we all know that means bother her about until she gives in, who knows how long that will take!

EDIT: This thread defintely needs to be stickied and the otehr un-stickied

"Group buy orders will take about 100 days to process (manufacturing time, shipping time from factory to USA, inspection of frames and shipping from our warehouse to final customer USA address)."

The wait will be a killer

Monday I'm going to be fitted for a custom frame. I hope this is close to a perfect fit

PF says they will give us 2 to 5 weeks to assemble the 100, at which point $200 deposits would be made followed by a 100 day production and delivery cycle with balances due before shipping.

The way I see it, she knows of my interest for a while and I'm sure she's spent an equal amount for clothes over the past few months. It's my turn. Of course, collecting all the components needed to complete the build will be a whole other discussion.
