Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Motobecane Super Mirage w/ Profile Design carbon fork (out of commission after being doored by a cab)

Now once I get my insurance settlement (1-2 weeks), it will be:
Moto le champ SL with open pro/ultegra training wheels

and once my pedal force qs2-s comes in from the groupbuy, all the parts will be going over to that (AC420 wheels, Full Ultegra, etc)

Man, a lot of us aren't really living the "poor college student" life are we? Either that, or we are not eating and spending all our money on bikes!

well my loan for this year was for $19,008. Wells Fargo told me that paid out over 10 years once i graduate, ill have given them 47,000$. now multiply that by 3. $141,000. and then once i graduate i am hoping to go to University of Pennsylvania or Columbia for a dual degree MBA/JD (so I can have a masters in business admin and a law degree--i want to go into corporate law in the investment banking/stockbrokering field). so thats yet another 4 years at probably about 50,000$/year plus the apr id say 90,000$/year. im in about $500,000 by the time i complete my education (not including the deduction f scholarships, etc)

I usually end up eating the same deal week in, week out. Peanut butter/honey, ramen, etc. I'd rather spend money on my bike.

Purdue
Grad: sometime between '08 and '10 with between one and three degrees
2001 Trek 8000 mtb
2005 Specialized Allez elite, set up for triathlon
old schwinn fixed conversion, powdercoated, Dura-ace track wheels
Buying Zipp 808's and TT helmet over the winter for racing and a new TT bike sometime after that

It's all about having priorities, eg bikes before cars, new clothes, or possibly even alcohol if absolutely necessary.
