I'm 55 and still going strong. So far this year I've done 4 centuries, 5 double centuries and 1 triple century. It looks like I should be around 8,000 miles for the year with a little over 250,000' of climbing.

I'm a mere 53. Took up riding a few years ago with the Trek hybrid (see sig), thinking I'd just putter around. Then I joined a bike club. Went on faster and longer rides. Put clipless pedals on the Trek. Finally got a road bike this year, did my first metric, and just built a fixed gear conversion I plan on riding a lot next year (and whenever the weather's not too vile this year). Looking forward to my first century next year.

Don't like riding in the cold, though.

I'm 55 and will get at leat 7,500 miles this year, same as the last 3 seasons. My average over the last 25 seasons is 5,700 miles per year. I don't foresee slowing down anytime in the near future. :)

A fellow club member is 60 and just completed his 3rd Furnace Creek 508 with a time of 38 hours. That's 508 miles with 30some thousand feet of gain. He also took a run at the RAAM this year but stopped after 1300 miles in 5 days.
BF member Vertical Bob is close to his 4th (I think) consecutive year with a vertical century. That's an average of 10k feet of climbing per week. I think he's 59.

Happy Birthday! Sorry I'm a day late. I'm 54. I've just broken the 3000 mile mark. While that's actually a low number for most of the 50+ members, for me it's not. The best yearly total I've had until this year was 1309 miles. That was in '99. I'm having so much fun this year(I ride a Catrike Road) that I'm buying clothes to ride in cold weather. Heck, on my upright and EZ Sport, as soon as the temp fell below 60 I was done for the year. I'm looking forward to cold weather riding.

Well I turned 32 on the 2nd and didn't get to ride my age, but I didi manage to get in a 20 mile night ride on the fixie conversion I built for myself as a birthday present. Keep up the good work folks, you are an inpiration to us younger riders.
I hope to be as strong a rider as some of you are when I grow up.
