Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ok, so it's missing an important part or two, and I am a terrible photographer. But I still think it looks pretty good!

Yeah. Probably going to take the stickers off at some point. I think the rims are 30mm, so they are somewhat aero.

That is some serious saddle height you got there. What saddle? I'm about to get a Fizik Arione? I can't decide on color because it will eventually go on the QS2-S. I don't know if I want blue or silver/carbon highlighting on that one.

Very nice job tekhna! It's good to see another SRS-3 nearing completion. Although I don't run them on my Flyte, I do own a set of the Alta Race wheels and I think they look "much" better without the stickers. It's a little tedious to get them off but IMHO well worth the effort.

I've had no issues with my Tacx Taos cages. They hold my bottles very snug and look great!!! The build looks great!!!

Wow, almost every piece of your bike has had a "should I buy them" or "buy this! CHEAP!" thread started about it in the last few weeks or so.

But besides that, it's really nice, is that Centaur or Veloce?

It's a complete '07 Veloce groupset.
The new Ultra torque system is really slick.

Crimson-Be that as it may, I'd say I got a pretty fine bike out of the fall clearance purges!
Whatever is on this bike, it'll be an improvement over my '05 Specialized Allez triple.

Looks pretty good. Is that actually your saddle to bar drop? Or just there for the photos??

I like the cages, I'll have to remember those for my build.

Not sure on your brifter position on the bar, but everyone has a different setup I suppose.

I've got a lot of adjustments to make yet, but actually the brifters might be about right. I have tiny, tiny hands. I couldn't reach the thumb lever on my Sora shifters in the drops. The saddle to bar drop will be adjusted, have no fear!
Are you still thinking of going with the black veloce?

Looks good. I just finished my Flyte build, I have a pix in the other flyte thread. I took it out for it's first real ride yesterday, about 15 miles into a 30 mile ride, a squirl ran into my front tire. Fortunatly it didn't get stuck in my spokes, it just bonuced off and then hit my foot and pedal. I went with the Reynolds Alta Comps wheels. I would be pissed if a squirl ruined my wheel on my first ride.

Nice look so far. Mine will look very similar. After seeing yours (I like the silver now) I really don't care if I get black or silver.

I'd be curious to see how it looks with the black on it too though!
