Just picked up my baby!
Hello! Finally, I just picked up my Litespeed Ultimate! I was set on buying either a Tuscany or Vortex cause I didn't want carbon mixed into my frame, when I came across an Ultimate from a couple years ago (pre carbon seat stays) sitting in a LBS. The price was a steal, the size was perfect, so I ordered it up with full Chorus, Time Impact S pedals, Cinelli B-groove bar and stem, Columbus Muscle fork, and a carbonisimo saddle. I post pics as soon as I get them

Sounds like a great bike at a great price. And you have selected a great gruppo to go with it. What did you do for wheels? I put a set of Ksyrium Elites on my new baby, but wish I had sprung for the extra $50 for Campy Neutrons.

Why didn't I want carbon mixed? Well, I guess I'm kinda strange for thinking this, but the way carbon seat stays are stuck into frames just doesn't seem right to me. I'm sure they are fine and perfectly safe, but I think the carbon would fatigue much quicker than the rest of a titanium frame. I know, I'm strange!
I decided to get Mavic cxp33 laced to Chorus hubs for wheels, although the LBS had a set of Campy Shamals sitting there which could be my next purchase The Neutrons were sweet too! Can you tell I'm a Campy freak? Oh yeah, I like titaniium too, Chorus seat post all the way

Is very much lighter than a steel cassette as it will also lighten your wallet at a ratio of about $5 to $1. Without all those dollars weighing you down think how fast you will be.
Seriously, the major advantage is weight. Especially in the larger cogs, like 21 and up.
Can't imagine anyone who is not getting paid for riding actually using a titanium cassette. They are incredibly expensive. Check them out at www.branfordbike.com. Not sure if they are offered by Shimano, but they are definitely something offered by Campy.

I've thought about the titanium cassette's before, but the cost OUCH!!! I just could not justify it, What's next the titanium lockring? I admit I thought about that one for a minute $20 vs $50 I did not buy it.

Yeah, a ti cassette would be a dream! I had a hard time saying no to the mag body/ti spindle time impacts
