Gharmin Computer with GPS: Best Source?
I want to get my husband the one that goes from wrist to bike and has the GPS, training programs etc.
Is this a good choice of computer? Anything better? He wants to train for some big Tri's this coming year. I found it for 350 at the local bike shop.
Any input appreciated.

If he's a gadget guy like me, he'll love it. Make sure it's the model with heartrate...
I have found a way to wear the bike-specific one while running, but I have a feeling the wrist-mounted one would be much easier to transition between running and cycling for tri training.

I seem to remember some folks putting their edge into a cell phone case and strapping it on themselves that way... you'd want one with a clear window so you can see your stats. The forerunner is basically the same device so no need to buy another.

Go to geomangear.com. I just purchased the Garmin Edge 305 bundle for $285 with free overnight delivery. It should be there when I get home. Merry Christmas to me! There were realy great to work with also.

I use the Motorola ROKR armband. It goes on the upper arm, which is not quite as convenient as a wrist mount, but I only refer to it every mile or so. It attaches to the band by velcro, so you can also pull it off and refer to it more easily. The wristband is made of neoprene and easily washable, and the Edge fits in snugly.
The one problem I had with mine is that I got used to wearing it on my left arm, which is the one they wanted to mark in my last Du.
There's a ton of them on eBay for cheap.
