Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Litespeed build complete.............

Well after taking my time and waiting for the barrel adjusters the Litespeed project is done. Only thing left is a ride so I can report back. The build is alot from my old bike with the addition of:

Shimano R700 compact double crank
Spinergy Xaero Lites
Real Designs front carbon fork

Pic. of wheels............

Pic. of bars................

Overall of bike..............

Hopefully a ride report can be given soon. Weather here is pretty bleak right now with no good looking day soon.

Your Litespeed's gone stealth.

Sweet!!!

What happened to the old yellow decals? I have to admit, they would actually look pretty cool if they were still on there. Maybe you could find some on Ebay?

Very nice bike. I have to say, however, that those Pedro's Hatchback bags are junk, IMO. I had two disintegrate at about a year old to year-and-a-half.

"I have stripped off the stock decals because I hated the look of them and have gone with a clean Ti look"

Good enough reason for me.

I hate riding with bags but I do carry some simple tools in case of a breakdown. I ride prepared.

Nice bike, though the yellow spokes may be a bit much for my taste.

I would leave the frame bare, it looks good. Lightspeed has always had bad taste in fonts.

As I said in your other thread, I really like the yellow, it's refreshingly different, and the spokes work very well with your theme. Not too sure I like the marbled tape though, might be a cleaner look with solid tape. At to "flip it", I would definetly try the bike both ways, after having most of my bikes with stems positioned like yours, I finally flipped them all this year and find the the ride to be comfortable and the bikes definitely look better. But most of all, get out and ride that beautiful new bike!
