How big of a bada$$ to ride a pink bike???

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How big of a bada$$ to ride a pink bike???

Still thinking about color options for the Moots build. I saw this MTN bike, and the wheels started turning. What are the thoughts with a sweet Ti and pink combo. White bartape, and white Toupe saddle?
But the real question... How bad do you have to be to ride it??

Here is the Moots mtn bike

Seriously, it's a color. if you like it, go for it. The fact that you would ride a bike with pink parts is proof enough that you're sufficiently secure in your masculinity to do it.

Do what you like.

My bro had a hot pink GT Freestyle when we were kids. I had a light blue Mongoose (it was the late eighties). Anyhow his bike got all the compliments, and nobody questioned his sexuality. My bike got ripped off, I guess theives do not like pink.

I went with the pink King headset and the matching pink Fizik tape and saddle. Changed out the tape and the saddle from the thread posted above. No one has tried to beat me up yet.

I always thought pink and gray were a classic combination.

+1 doc

Pink is euro cool. Some of the panels on my bike are pink, and to top it all off I just bought one of those new pink foil polar bottles to match it.

It needs to be the right shade of pink. A light pink with gray screams "girl" to me, but that T-mobile shade is sweet.

Someone told me that pink wasn't considered a girls color at all until a hospital at some point started putting pink and blue caps on babies to differtiate between sexes? I don't know if its true or not. The same person mentioned pink was considered a manly color before then. Does anyone know why they chose the color pink for the Giro leader's jersey?
