Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It seems that searches expire after some short period of time. I merely searched 11speed in titles only and came up with a number of relevant threads, too bad the search didn't stick.

Stay away!

I ordered Record shifters from them after my locally ordered pair was on backorder forever. It was nice to get the UPS tgracking number. But what I got was an unboxed set wrapped in old Shimano part instructions like newspaper. They did appear new and all the parts were included though. However, it turned out the left shifter was broken and required rebuilding to work properly. Also, shifters are exempt from duty fees, but I still got the UPS bill since they code everything as basic bike parts. It was easy to get the fees dropped albeit a hassle. I was told by 11speed that they sell take-off parts, hence the reason no box. They are located near the Campy factory, and I get the sense they troll the odds and ends spare bins.
Look, many people will say they had no problem with 11speed, and for wheels I have heard ok things (but the duty fees will get you). But I really think its worth the little more to have peace of mind and get new parts from somewhere else.

Wow, that was pretty close! I was gonna get Veloce shifters from them, but I found a decent deal on new 2006 shifters on eBay.

And I didn't know that they sell take-offs. They really told you that?

I recently received an order of Record components and Zonda wheels. All the components came in individual boxes except the front derailleur. I'm still building up the bike, but all components appear to be in good working condition. My only complaint was the wheels were packed with all the components, but appear to be fine. I was charged a high shipping cost of a little over $100, (I'm in the states) but still saved nearly 1/3 with 11speed.

whew! I was about to order a full record group from them, now I am a little nervous. Anybody else had problems with them, or know of a cheap place for a record group (compact, carbon).
