72 hole 8 cross rear wheel!
I went to the Gene Autry Museum of Western Heritage recently, and one of their exhibits includes this bicycle, which has a 72 hole, 8 cross rear wheel and a 24 hole radial laced front. I doubt the rear wheel is 700c, and I'd hate to be the guy who built or trued this thing!

It's a museum of Western Heritage, started by Gene Autry who was basically a rich guy who really really liked the wild west, so the exhibits just have odd things collected from the western movement. Each room seems to be dedicated to a certain time and area of the unsettled west. One exhibit is dedicated to western films, another room is nothing but the history of American guns (more cameras in that room than the rest of the museum altogether), and their temporary gallery is showing photography of Yosemite right now.

The museum happens to be in Griffith Park, which attracts a lot of cyclists. I bet 20% of the people who walk in the door are cyclists looking for a bathroom

Quite possible, because the bathroom is before the main desk so they won't even charge you admission. Beautiful place to ride if anyone doesn't know. I think it's a 5 mile loop around the park or you can make your own ride to the beach or the canyons to make 30+ miles.

That is an American Star bicycle (never ridden one of those), solid tyres.
