Relisted, Cannondale Six13 Frame w/issues

http://cgi.ebay.com/2006-Cannondale-...QQcmdZViewItem

The above link is to a ebay listing of a Cannondale Six13 frame that has the galvanic corrosion issues on the carbon/aluminum joints. The bike was listed earlier this week but was pulled by the seller when a few bikeforums members started asking questions about the history of the frame that didn't add up. Below is a link to the earlier thread. Not sure it adds up to fraud but this is definitely one of the six13 frames that was recalled by Cannondale.

From the description it doesn't look like he's trying to hide anything. I don't see the big deal.

Is that corrosion showing the CF underneath the AL joints, or is it turning the AL black?

Except he didn't put 2000 miles on the bike as he states, he just bought it off of ebay in Oct and the other side of the frame's top tube is full of galvanic corrosion. The above photo is of the frame when it was first listed by original seller he bought it from in Oct.

Does it still look like that on the other side, or did he get rid of that? He has pictures of both sides of the frame. I can't really tell, but he does have an arrow pointing to it.

Maybe he put 2,000 miles on the frame, maybe he didn't. I never trust the mileages on eBay anyway, so that doesn't make much of a difference.

He does seem a bit shady. His pictures obscure the damage. He also states: buy it now, because it will go quickly at that price. Don't know what the heck that means. It will to when the auction ends, at whatever price it gets. Things like that clue you in to the mentality of the seller.

Based on what's selling/sold and the fact that he's a pretty active buyer as well, it looks like he's finding crap all over the place and reselling it. Not much history given on any of his items.

The frame does show some cosmetic blemishes in the clearcoat at points indicated by the black arrows in some of the photos. The frame has been inspected by Cannondale and they have determined that these blemishes are purely cosmetic and will not affect the performance of the frame.
He mentions the problems. What more do you want from him? So he bought it messed up and fixed it. Big deal.

Looks like that frame comes with a built-in salt lick for when your body is low on electrolytes.
