So Im going to be in Québec this summer...

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So Im going to be in Québec this summer...

From July 2- August 4th, I am going to be at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. Now, I live in Cincinnati, OH and am planning on *gasp* driving up there with one of my fellow students. Ill be there doing a summer French program, and was wondering if there is any good riding around there as I was planning on taking my bike. Any info/help would be much appreciated! Also, any local BF members who would be down for some rides, just let me know!

Road Nationals was in Quebec City, last year, and should be this year as well. It is supposed to be the second week of july. (check canadiancyclist.ca) Would be a fun thing for you to watch, with some good continental riders and teams coming out (Symmetrics for example). I went last year as a junior, and hopefully I'll get to head out there again as a first year espoir. There are lots of good clubs out there and good races to check out (not sure if you race?) check also with the FSQC or something like that. (Provincal association, you can find links from the https://www.canadian-cycling.com/ (different from the above)) I have no clue of where you are studying but Quebec City is amazing to ride through, there are tough hills (road race course last year, Cote de Gilmour), cobble stone, a european feel to the city and tonnes of hot girls (everywhere).
