Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ohhh....

OHHHH....

Ahhh fooled ya! You thought I got the Zipp's didn't you!

Once I get the stickers off, add a carbon weave layer on the rim, paint the spokes half-yellow and put a large carbon dork disc on both sides of the hubs, I'm gonna have myself a pair of ghetto lightweights.

Actually.. since I can't afford a team car to follow me around, I got the clincher version, only 170 or something grams heavier.

So, what's worse than some bike-geek posting pictures of his new wheels?

All the geeks that are jealous.

Sweet go-fasters.

Very nice !!

As time passes the price will become less important. But you will enjoy nice wheels for a long time.
Kinda like a $900 light.

I might still build a TT/Tri bike if I decide to race, grab a set of tri spokes or something. But I won't be buying anything for a long time. Next up, which tubulars for 2 grand.

Yeah she's great, she doesn't ride that much but she still bought a specialized dolce elite to ride with me.
We both sat down and discussed this before I made the purchase, my credit card's almost maxed out and she let me use her credit card to buy em. I have my wheels, she has her louis vuitton and coach hand bags.

Well I don't have tubes, but so far I was able to get a pair of specialized 700x23's and 700x21's on it in literally a minute with my bare hands (I think i'm gonna get another pair of 700x23's and chuck the 21's, the wheel seems a bit narrow for it).
