dampening from carbon shell/rail saddle worth the extra money?
I went to go buy a saddle today and was ready to buy the fizik arione carbon braided for $250 bucks. Mainly because i have a gift card that i got for Christmas and the lbs doesnt really have anything else i want. After looking the regular fizik arione (no carbon shell and ti rails) was on sale for 90 bucks. I live in a really flat area so wieght savings arn't really that important. But if there is going to be more dampening with the carbon i will spring for that, if not i'll go with the non-carbon version. So is there going to be a significant decress in dampening with the carbon rails and shell? Or should i just save the extra 150 to spend on some shorts or put towards an edge 305? thanks in advance.

and some manufacturers have weight limits on titanium axle pedals, and some don't. do you think they use different types of titanium? more importantly, are you willing to put your own personal safety at risk to find out? just to drop about 1 ounce... |
