400w Power Dial?

blandin 01-15-07 10:46 PM

Very nice looking, I am sure it will go well with the newly upgraded Litespeed.

But . . . will it do this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6Op3OPItH0 :D

blickblocks 01-15-07 10:48 PM

Neat, it has conductive nodes instead of buttons. Would suck for full-fingered glove winter riding though.

FrankBattle 01-15-07 11:12 PM

well just burst his bubble .. sheesh

slvoid 01-15-07 11:24 PM

LOL that's ok, my roadie is for warm days only. I have my giant ocr-t for commuting and cold days.

Last I had heard (more than 1 year ago), Cateye was releasing a model named tr-100 that was very similar to this computer. It's good to see that a new all in one computer is finally coming out except I already have a Garmin 305. If they would have released it earlier, it would have been a tougher decision.

At $180 and due out in April, it looks like a good option. Does anyone know what it will do?

Hammertoe 01-16-07 06:09 PM

Altimeter???

johnny99 01-16-07 07:38 PM

No power meter. No GPS. No altimeter. That thing was probably designed in the last century.

TheKillerPenguin 01-16-07 07:41 PM

no kitchen sink?

As far as I know, combine their two dual computers and offer cadence, speed, and HRM all wireless.

it's japanese, they didn't think of that, ...their stems are smaller.:o

jrennie 01-16-07 11:44 PM

Is that ment for just their trainers like the kenetics computer or real world riding? The watt meter is what is confusing me.

NomadVW 01-17-07 01:16 AM

Word here in Japan is it will have power on the road.

NoRacer 01-17-07 07:09 AM

I wonder how they get 100% accurate power? <--...nobody ever do!

msheron 01-17-07 07:13 AM

Congrats.............to each their own. Which Litespeed bike do you have slvoid?

Did they actually say 100% accurate?

jrennie 01-17-07 07:08 PM

i emailed them for more info and this was the response:

FLEX will work with our trainer and also on the road. The power output formula is proprietary and we can't give much detail, but it is accurate!
