Just grab a wireless mouse and scroll through this forum while riding......two hours later and you won't even know where the time went. Kind of like looking at this site when you should be working.

Of course you should run. Anyone that says running is bad for you is nuts. By the way, I've experienced shin splints and stress fractures too. By running you're helping to build bone density, a stronger cardiovascular system, burn calories and drop a few pounds. Where's the problem? Go to a track, find a nice system of streets or buy a treadmill, I sell high end treads for a living, come see me. Personally, I prefer a nice rubberized track and a good pair of Asics running shoes. And here in central Pennsylvania the temp is in the low 30's, you can find me on the track most nights. You'll get used to the cold, it takes about a week and half of consistent training in it, unless you have asthma, might be a little more difficult. But don't give up on running just because of a little pain.

Agree. Just read something that when you run uphill you use more of the muscle sets you use for cycling. Same goes for snowshoe, etc.
