my winter project is done! pics
2002 Bianchi XL EV-2 frame that I've been building up to use as a crit bike....basically a spare parts bike from parts I've swapped off my XL boron...
I haven't gotten the chance to ride it yet...maybe later today...

the stable....(yes I know the XL Boron doesn't have a cassette right now....waiting on my Miche 11-28 from reparto corse)

I like the build. Are those open pro rims? I run a set of 32h OP on my track bike, and I have been quite pleased. Do people typically have a second bike for crit’s due to the higher likelihood of crashing?
JAH
P.S. Is that top tube a little bent? (I am kidding; I recall an earlier thread in which you discussed the bend).

and I don't know if most people have a second bike for crits...but it is the reason I do...I couldn't handle crashing the XL Boron...i love that frame...

One of the great Bianchi color combinations. Great job. Is there something weird with the frame behind the head tube? Maybe it's the photo.

so i'll include the explanation in this thread now too....
yes...it is slightly bent...a little bit of a dent right by the cable stop on the top tube...it's not creased or cracked and it's actually in the area where the frame is butted...been checked over by my LBS's mechanic (very trustworthy guy I ride with on a regular basis)...everything's fine with it...
the top tube is the only one affected...noone can quite figue out how it happened...
