Need some help
Ok so I have been searching for a road bike,i though maybe the trek 1000,then today i went to my lbs and talked to the owners(very very nice people)and they suggested maybe saving a bit more and going to the trek 1500,it is $929,about 300 more than the 1000,but has much better components ,she noted that a new set a wheels would be close to if not more than $300.So I guess my question is it worth it to just pay the extra and get a great bike and not have to worry about upgrading most of that stuff?

Hmm, I don't know the answer to that but I'm sure someone else will soon. Test ride them and if you really like the more expensive one more getit because you'll ride it more. I personally put silly ammounts of effort into my bike but at the same time there was a thread here a week or so back about people that loved their trek 1000's so as a first roadie you won't go wrong.
Have fun.

I went from a 1000 to a 1500 after having my 1000 for 4 months.

So worth it, I lost about $200 on the resale of my 1000 too
