Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Building new DeBernardi...Paint protection?

I've posted this question in a couple of other forums, hoping you guys have some advice. I got a new DeBernardi Zona frameset yesterday. I was ready for fragile Italian paint, this stuff is even thinner than the paint on my Rossin. Any advice on how to protect the paint before I build it up? I am considering using nu-finish, anybody try this on new paint?

I personally wouldn't use a polish (which is what nu-finish is as far as I know) on already thin paint. My choice would be a high quality paste wax put on fairly thick and carefully buffed.
