Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes for sale question

I'm going to help a friend sell a couple of Trek Madone bikes. As I've seen people post links to e-Bay for their sale, is this an OK thing to do here?

Not in this forum. Check the For Sale area and read the policy regarding posting links.

For Sale Forum Link: https://www.bikeforums.net/sale/

Also see the community guidelines (link in my signature) for details of where and how posting of items for sale is permitted. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks... I was a dumby and never scrolled down far enough to see the "For Sale" section. As I never have anything to sell or buy I've never gone there

My friend is helping me out with my eye surgery (long story) and I'm going to try to help her out by selling her bikes.

Thanks again
Keith

Wasn't as dumb as I thought... I never go all the way back to the front page, only to the "Bike Forum" page. I learned something today

If they're high end bikes, you might want to try Roadbikereview.com classifieds before you try Ebay. A lot cheaper than Ebay's fees. And since you have a red star you could list them here on BF for a while, too.

Dumb question. Why doesn't the owner just sell them?
