Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Need advise for first road bike

First, here are the options I'm looking at:

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting
2006 Jamis Ventura Comp with a lock, tire pump, and helmet for 540.00.

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...0030&rd=1&rd=1
2001 Quintana Roo Tequilo with new pedals, shoes that will probably fit, and a cat eye computer for 620.

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting
Or a 2003 KHS Flite 500 with new tires, stem, saddle, tape, 3t bar, for 550.00, but no peddles.

I would be happy with any of them but need some advise on which one would give me the best bang for my buck. The Jamis auction is giving me nothing but a new cycle while the other ones are giving me older bikes but I get newer parts or other merchandise with them. I'm not really interested in the Jamis but if that would be the best buy please tell me. I would probably like have the Tequilo the most but it seems that the Flite 500 might be a better buy with all the newer parts. But I'm not knowledgeable about parts so I'll need some advise if it would be worth it or not.

Thanks for any replies.

The most important feature of a bike is how well it fits you. This is especially important for newbies who may not have a good idea of what will fit them well.

My LBS measured me up and had be on a 55 Jamis Quest that fit very well. I do know the exact measurements of the Jamis Ventura Comp so I know it will fit. The other two are in my size ranges as well, but I cannot be sure how perfectly they will fit. But they are between the 51-55 that will fit me best so I have them as options as well.
