Another Sidi Question
As a related question to bdcheung's earlier post, does anyone have experience with the Sidi full carbon-soled shoes, such as the Genius 5.5? I've heard (perhaps incorrectly) that they're considerably stiffer than Sidi's earlier models. If so, is the extra stiffness worth the extra cash? Are they substantially less comfortable to walk in off the bike?
I have Sidis now, and like the fit very much, but they're getting a little bit long in the tooth, and I'm in the market for another pair. 'Preciate any thoughts people have... |
I remeber reading some place that they are made to have the same flex.

i personally feel like a small amount of flex is good. the only problems i've ever had was with full carbon soles which gave me hotspots. i don't think the 5.5's re full carbon, just the area around the cleat, but i could be wrong. either way, i think the extra stiffness is NOT worth it, but i'm sure others will disagree.
i like sidi's millenium sole myself. |
