I've got all the tools in the world and have built many things and performed a few installs on my cars (03 BMW and 06 Volvo) but I can't risk installing something wrong on my bike that would cause me to crash and damage both me and my bike later on. I've looked at all the components and they don't look too difficult to install, but I imagine some are more difficult than they look. Also there are probably certain torque settings for certain parts or certain cable lengths for the brakes and so on- and I simply don't have the knowledge of these things. Still it's very tempting. Someday I hope to learn these things so I can build a bike someday. |
^^^^^ You can always buy the parts and get an LBS to do a build for you. My charges ~$200 to do that. If you have a good relationship with your LBS, you may get a discount. :)

:mad: Orbea has delayed my Orange Orca frameset until early March due to some production problems in Spain.
The paint production on these frames has been a little difficult. Our original estimate had to be pushed back due to some problems in quality control. Right now we have our first full run of Orca framesets in both blue and orange in paint production in Spain. We should have a good ETA on our first shipment of these frames tomorrow morning. We will be receiving shipments every week once they start delivering them but the paint process for these frames is labor intensive so each shipment will not be very large. This means that we may not be able to fill your order on the first shipment. I should have more definite information tomorrow morning. Please feel free to contact me if you have further questions.
