Tell me about gluing tubulars....
I glued my first tubular last night, and I'm wondering how to test and make sure it's adhered adequately...

Also make sure you've got the glue off the braking surface of the rims. I made the mistake of getting glue on the rims, and not cleaning it off, once. Not a good thing.

Agree Tufo Tape is much nicer. You can strip it off easy and it adheres just as nicely. Glue is too messy and hell if you have to start over.

I like to wear latex gloves to mount up a tire. be sure to pre-stretch the tire, I also use a toe clip strap to hold the tire on the rim as I go around and mount the tire. I also have an old fork which I put on the bike stand and attach the wheel to it...makes it much easier to apply the glue. I also use a old toothbrush to spread the glue...sure the glue has built up and its a hard surface now, but it works well. these little things make it much easier to mount a tire without getting glue all over the place.
