Spoke magnet

Does anyone know where I can purchase a spoke magnet online? No luck so far, I need one. :(

most shops carry them. you can't find them online because the shipping would be 5x the price of the magnet.

Figured so. I'm just in the process of finding a new LBS. :)

Thanks, SaddleBags :)

Cat Eye sells small parts for their computers online. I agree with DR, though. Paying shipping on a $1 purchase feels silly.

Hobby Lobby you can get some very small high powered magnets real cheap, just use some ShoeGoo to attach to a spoke.

If you ride with groups, ask around. I have 2 spares in my toolbox right now and almost gave one to a riding partner, but he found the one he lost before we met up.

Mainframe posted this on another thread, I thought it was a great idea...

If your magnet is for a cadence count, just place a small rare earth magnet on the inside of the pedal spindle where it threads into the crackarm. This assumes some ferrous content on the pedal spindle. Works great, never falls off, and being so powerful, the tolerance issue is greatly deminished.

Just buy a pair of Lightweight wheels. They're only $3700 and the magnet is woven into a spoke.

Good for Cat Eye being so reasonable. They have always been a good company for customer service.

Just a concern for us "steel is real" people, but with a power that great, would it make the cranks act funny when going past the steel tubes?
