San Francisco to San Bruno. What's the best route?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

San Francisco to San Bruno. What's the best route?

I'm looking to tack on some more miles to my ride and I know that one can ride from San Francisco over to San Bruno quite easily (right?). I have good knowledge of the city, but I was just wondering if anyone had a good route that they take. I'd be coming from the Golden Gate Bridge and then to San Bruno. Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Connor

I haven't done this in a while, but I think you can take Hwy 35 all the way from Lake Merced in the city down to San Bruno.

Hehe, do you work for Gap or IronPort?

GGB to San Bruno can be done via Great Highway to Lake Merced. From Lake Merced, you can take 35 but it's pretty busy and has a couple of _major_ climbs. From Lake Merced, I would head through Daly City and down along Junipero Serra, mainly because during the summer months, 35 can be VERY foggy and damp. If you don't mind the dampness and the climbs, 35 actually has pretty wide shoulders.

Here's the route through Daly City I mentioned. The route ends at Sneath and Cherry. From there it's easy to get anywhere in San Bruno.

no, I don't work for either of those companies. Thanks a lot for the info. I'm about to go out and give it a try.
Thank you!

Be careful going through the section of Daly City called Broadmoor.
The cops there have nothing to do but hassle cyclists. Just make sure
you stop at the stop signs.
