Well, bother, Serfas discontinued my saddle model - Terrazo (not select)
Just checked the LBS and the website. Gone, gone, gone.
I liked that Terrazo, some 6,000+ miles on mine, cover (leather) is wearing through in some places under the sit bones, I guess I move around a bit. I noted that wear sometime ago on a Roadbike review entry I'd put up on the saddle.
Anyway, it feels great, planned no change when it got a bit dog eared., but guess I'll have to try a few new ones.
The old standby SI Flite is, I guess, the first I'll take a look at. If I can try out an Arione, that one looks like a possibility, too.
I'm not sure the cut out is necessary. I've put quite a few miles on my FX with the OEM Velo that came with the Veloce, quite comfy in both office/casual slacks as well as padded kit. Quite firm padding and flatish cross sections seem to do the trick.
I notice Bontrager has a factory based comfort guarantee - not dependent on LBS's good graces (although my Trek dealer has been great about loaning out saddles for trial). Their X Lites(Pro) look good but are way pricey.
FWIW, Serfas' road saddles look like rebadged Velos. I may be wrong. I think Selle made the Terrazo I have if I remember a note to that effect in a review.
