Vittoria Diamante Pro tires (or 'tyres' at PBK)

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Vittoria Diamante Pro tires (or 'tyres' at PBK)

anyone have any experience with these tires? do they roll well? how is their puncture resistance? soft and supple? and how 'bout the diamante pro light version. i'm trying to decide between these and the michelin pro 2 race, which i've heard a lot of good stuff about. i did a search for the vittoria's and didn't turn up anything specific. thanks

I had been riding the Diamante Pros for the last year and they are nice tires.Rolling resistance is low on the center part of the tread they are dual compound tires. these tires corner very well ,lots of grip. I only get about 2,000 miles out of a set and on my last set a 4 to 5 inch long piece of the center tread came pealing off. At $38 a tire, from PBK,This convinced me to give the Pro race 2 a try, they are $23 a tire, and I have to say they are really nice tires very fast rolling and for a relatively smooth tread they grip really well. These are my new choice of tires for now, can't beat the price. I have yet to see how many miles I get out of a set My first set has only 300 miles so far.

My experience mirrors the previous post. Great traction and performance. But I only got about 2500 miles before the back tire had to go. I had no punctures during this time.
