this isn't true at all. They price match. You can do it online when you place your order. Just put in the company name, product and price along with the URL to the item showing the price. They won't bill or ship the item until they confirm your price. If they can't match then you either get a call or email.

If you go to their site then go to Help Center --> Pricing Policies They call it Performance Price Protection Plan. Only caveat is the item must match exactly and be in stock at the other location.

I've been shopping with Performance for years. Have not had any more issues with them than with other online retailers. Return policy is fine, the 10% back is great with Team Performance.

Why is a Performance Store in one's neighborhood not an LBS? It seems as though a chain store which employes people from the neighborhood who spend their paychecks locally, which pays sales taxes to the local and state government and supports community activities and charities is actually an LBS. It may be a good LBS or a poor one. It is nevertheless local.

I am a fan of Performance and have had no trouble at all whether dealing with the bricks & mortar or the online operation.

Performance is definitely a shadow of its former self 20 years ago.

I ordered a pair of Rudy Project sunglasses from them once, they sent me an SM Aspide Arrowhead saddle:eek: . When I contacted them about getting the sunglasses, they sent them overnight and never asked for me to return the saddle:) .

I was very happy, until I tried to use the saddle. That saddle has to be the least comfortable ever made.

Why is an Olive Garden not your local Italian Restaurant? Duh...

No. Until last year, I didn't have a printer. If you're the kind of operation where I have to keep track of your records for you, I'm going to discontinue supporting you.

I ordered from Performance once. I ended up cancelling the order when they couldn't even tell me a ship date, when their web site said it was in stock. Turned out it wasn't in stock and even though I complained, they never changed their web site. Performance service stinks. I would never do business with them again.

Ummm No, you're not keeping track of their records for them. You're using your BRAIN! Common sense ! And if you don't have a printer - ever hear of paper and a pencil? This isn't rocket science.

Don't order from the other etailer you mentioned in your first post - its obviously beyond your comprehension.

Listen, I was one of the first wave to adopt electronic business. Thanks for the personal insult, but if I need to spend time/keep track of papers/waste paper/call them/waste hours, I'm not going to support their business.

I used my brain. Performance = stinkypants. QED.

LMAO!

but i don't deal with Performance anymore either...

i ordered a few items from them, one of which was on backorder and was later discontinued, of which i didn't find out until i called them over a month later to cancel the order. i got that item from Excel Sports Boulder in 2 days, for $20 less...

then, i had to send back 2 items, which i insured at the post office. after waiting for a credit for almost a month, they claimed that they never received them, after i was told to "give it a few days" numerous times on the phone when i asked about the credit. then, the post office asked me to call Performance, so they could send me a letter stating the value that i paid for the items and the fact that they never received them on company letterhead, which they refused to do. a month later, i got the post office to issue me the money order for the lost mechandise, but it took longer than it should have because they refused to send me that letter that the post office said they should have sent. anyway, like i said, i have no desire to order from them again. the prices at Excel Sports Boulder are usually just as good, and sometimes better, and they have excellent customer service...
