Plush racing saddle?

I use a Brooks Team Pro on my track bike and I'm looking for something equally as classy and comfortable for a racing bike I'm building up. I'd buy another Brooks but the models I'm looking at (anything lighter than a Team Pro) exceed my $100ish spending limit. So right now I'm looking at the Sella San Marco Regal Ti and the Rolls Ti.

I'm pretty sure they're real leather and they're fairly light - both big plusses. My question is, are these just fabric lined plastic shells? I want something that will break in and get better with age, not crack in a crash. Any info or other suggestions would be nice.

The Rolls has a plastic shell topped with a thin layer of firm foam, all that topped with a leather (or lorica) covering. It probably does "break in" a little over time, I suppose, but it's not as obvious as in a Brooks. Still, a great saddle, still used by professionals today! :)

the regal is the same. mine is comfortable, but i had to get the tilt just right to make it so.

Hrmm, I really love the look and weight of the regal, but the plastic shell is killing me for some reason... I might end up grabbing another Brooks.

Setting aside leather seats, such as Brooks, and carbon fiber seats, which would be out of your stated price range, to my knowledge they are all plastic.

Plastic won't break in. Keep your eyes out for a used Swift. On this forum in the classified section I saw one go for $125. Damn I wish I saw that first :)

I have a Swift on my racing bike.
