Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

met him riding his recumbent while I was riding my bike home from Orlando to Birmingham.
he had lots of great advice for me. and he was one of the more amazing people i ever met.
he said
"It does not matter when you get there, five minutes isn't going to make a difference. Just get out there have fun. and eventually get where you are going."

They are HDR images made from 3 bracketed shots of the same image taken in RAW format and converted using photomatix. I think they are a little too over the top (the sky could be a little cleaner in the BW and the colors a little more subdued in the color one), but they were some of my first efforts with HDR.

Botto - Cool, that is the same bit of road near Sarlat. I was staying just a little further along that road for a month in 2006. There was some great riding there.

Mash Master - I do, i will Pm them to you if you want.

Here are a few pics from my simple point-and-shoot digital camera. Not as spectacular or technical as many, but all taken on 1-3 hour bicycle rides that started at my house.

A common road hazzard in these parts

Bighorn sheep are pretty common on the way up to Estes Park from Loveland, Colorado
