Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I lived at the tip of that land mass off in the distance by the lighthouse for almost all of my life. I really miss that area sometimes, but you really can't beat the California sun.

No offense intended, but you're obviously shooting from the Brooklyn Bridge, and if the Manhattan Bridge is on your left, as in this shot, then you MUST be facing east, not west, and with the lighting as shown this MUST be the morning not the evening.

Nonetheless, this is a very nice shot, I love it.

I took the wifes cell phone w/camera with me today for a few pictures. I thought I had a cool one of the new mural about Pocahontas on the side of the library and Short Lane Ice Cream (Gloucester, VA). But all I got was the ground for these. I did get a couple of nice pictures of Walter Reeds birth place. Next time I will review the pictures before rushing off. The mural is cool.

I added the pictures using the insert image icon NOT the manage attachments. Also the example I found to do it using text had unneded spaces.

I enjoy cycling, but I also enjoy the sights I see when cycling, which is why cycling around where I live isn't always as enjoyable as I would like it to be, because the sights aren't quite so plentiful. I did enjoy Mackinac Island when I went last though.
