Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Fuji Team Issue - built up and ready to ride.

It's actually a pretty nice evening so I decided to take a minute and take a couple of pictures of the new bike. I received the frameset yesterday evening and built it up last night. I haven't had a chance to ride it yet though.

I'm getting ready to jump on the trainer and do some threshold work. I figure that's as good of a place to break it in as any. Well, not really, but I'm trying my best to convince myself of it.

Hee hee - I'll make the first OCP policing post:

1) brake levers rotated too far down on the bars
2) Wheel labels not alligned properly
3) left crank not entirely hidden by seat tube
4) old-school bottle cages

Who am I kidding - that's a beautiful bike. I'd probably you straight-across for my Tarmac!

isn't it technically already broken in since you transplanted all of the vital organs from another bike?

Thanks everyone.

For training I use a PowerTap SL laced to an open pro rim. Nothing special, very dependable though.

Your threads are awesome. Thanks for the pics. I followed your Blue project and ended up buying a RC5-AL to get started in the Crash 5s.

May I ask you how much you paid for the Fuji frame?

Thanks for the compliment, appreciate it. I just posted my Blue frame on ebay about five minutes ago. As for the cost of the Fuji frame, sorry, classified information.

But if you have to choose between wheel labels aligning and valve stems aligning what do you do? What WHAT? My head is going to explode!

Maybe the OP needs new wheels.

Thanks. That is actually the quick release warning on the down tube. I need to take that and the "made in taiwan" sticker off. The size sticker is on the seat tube, I'll probably leave that on until I decide if I enjoy riding the frame enough to keep it or not. Other than my IF I generally don't keep bikes over a year.

1) They are campy.
2) Can't align the labels and the stems.
3) Oops.
4) I've been using the American Classic cages for quite a while. I guess it could be time for an upgrade though.
