Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think that "Fred" posts to these message boards actually. He has atleast mentioned and endorsed BF on a past podcast.

Been a listener for a while, great stuff. He's got one of the only consistent (and consistently interesting) cycling podcasts out there. On top of the Fredcast here's the other cycling podcasts that I try to catch:
  • Bikescape (Out of San Francisco, though I find the inconsistency, lack of format, and casualness annoying - but I try not to look every gift horse in the mouth)
  • The Spokesmen (you've probably heard David plug this every Fredcast show)
  • RogueMechanic (Interesting guy, only a few shows though)
  • Specialized Bicycles (A lot of marketing, but some interesting stuff, a lot of shows)
There's a few more I've tried listening too, many regional and defunct ones, and ones that are all pro cycling news, but these are my favorites...if anyone has some more post 'em, I can't get enough.

David if you're out there, keep up the great work and give more iPods away.

The FredCast coverage of the Tour of Cali was absolutely great.... He has just started to review multiple power meters beginning with a great interview on this weeks podcast.

Hi Everyone!

Although I don't spend as much time here as I would like, I am an occasional lurker. Thanks for all of the wonderful things you've said about The FredCast. I really do enjoy doing the show and it is so great to hear from those of you who like what I'm doing.

Here in SoCal, it looks like it's going to be a fantastic weekend, so look for me on my red Colnago!

Cheers.

David

I enjoy David's podcast pretty regularly. I'm not a Tour or racing fan, so I do a little fast forwarding, but keep up the good work!

Love the podcast David.

I enjoyed the episode with your daughters first long ride. Good stuff.

I found the FredCast about 3 or 4 weeks ago. It's been taking up my iPod ever since as I catch up with the episodes. When I saw this thread title I could hear the theme music in my head, and David saying, "Enjoy the ride."
