Thread consolidation: Whatever you bought today, it sucks.

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Overpaid for a new brake set that I don't have a matching group for on any of my bikes. Now I need a new frameset to hang a new group on to match the brakes, but I'm unworthy of the bikes I have, so how can I justify buying a new frame that is just going to be outdated next year anyway that I still won't be worthy of?

I should probably buy new bar plugs too, just in case.

Stick around long enough and patterns begin to emerge, that's all.

Well, you know... I'm sure I'll stick to my now-MO of showing up periodically, then disappearing again. But it's fun to pop in every once in a while.
