Power vs. Category
Yesterday someone posted an image chart of various 'average' 5 s, 1 min, 30 min power outputs in W/kg for various Cat's... I should've saved it, but didn't.
Anyone have it...? Thanks. |
|
Edit: Oops! Thanks BD.
P.S. - what does FT mean? |
|
^^ not really, I've read Power411 so many times :)

Thanks! So here's my output from last year. I didn't try to maximize anything (i.e., I wasn't specifically trying to make any of these numbers good), I was just riding along like I normally do.
http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w...maxpower-1.gif So that basically confirms what I already knew - I suck at sprinting. Oh well, time trials for me! |

I fiddled around with mine so that i can input some cells in excel and it automatically highlight's my w/kg ratio, it's fun to play around with "ok, if i lost 17lbs and could produce another 120watts..... " |
5s=16.14
1min=8.14 5min=5.0 FT=4.0 This puts me firmly at the top of Cat 3, although I haven't done a field test in over 3 months so I'd guess my FT is better than that right now. 45 years old 5'10" tall 146 lbs. |
Has this table been updated since it was orginally set?
|
I wonder if you can use this chart for upgrades :D
"but, but, the chart says I'm a cat 3" |

So who has better sprinting numbers than one hour numbers?

For those of you racing (and with power meters) is it correct for you? Are you placing in the cat that it says you should be?
|

Ok, since everyone else is showing theirs, I guess I'll show mine, even though I'm "no racer":

You have to add { } before the = sign and after the last close braket manually to make it work |

select one of the colums of w/kg ratios go to format->conditional format "cell value is" put "equal to", select the cell your calculation is in, select your formating you want (remember color on the font tab is the color of the text not the background) press ok |
Removed, redundant.

Thanks!
